Self-healing trans-cloud applications

Abstract Trans-cloud applications consist of multiple interacting components deployed across different cloud providers and at service layers (IaaS PaaS). In such complex deployment scenarios, fault handling recovery need to deal with heterogeneous offerings take into account inter-component dependencies. We propose a methodology for self-healing trans-cloud from failures occurring in application or the services hosting them, both during while they are being operated. The proposed enables reducing time rely on faulted services, hence residing “unstable” states where can suddenly fail cascade exhibit erroneous behaviour. also present an open-source prototype illustrating feasibility our proposal, which we have exploited carry out extensive evaluation based controlled experiments monkey testing.
